Kokemuksia Microsoft Antispywaresta

Huomasin http://www.digitoday.fi/showPage.php?page_id=14&news_id=39246 -sivulla artikkelin Microsoftin Antispywaresta. Latasin juuri ohjelman koneelle. Onko kenelläkään kokemuksia softasta? Ainakaan F-Secure ei myönnä olevansa huolestunut tästä.

Tuohan on siis käsittääkseni jatketta Giantin Antispyware -ohjelmalle.

Itselläni on käytössä Spyware Blaster , eikä sen koommin ole esim AdAwarella ötökän ötökkää löytynyt. En ole sen kummemmin tutkinut, mutta tuo Spyware Blaster ei tunnu pyörivän raskaana taustalla samalla lailla kuin mitä esim. Adawaren vastaava toiminto tekee.

Ohjelma löysi seuraavan "spywareohjelman".

Description: A Remote Administration Tool (RAT) is a Trojan type of software that when run, provides an attacker with the capability of remotely controlling a user's computer (victim) over the Internet. The attacker usually has full access to functions on the victim's computer. The victim's computer usually listens on the Internet for the attacker's commands.

Kyseessä oli WinPcap.exe, joka asentaa windump ohjelmaa varten tarvittavat dll-kirjastot ja apuohjemat. Tota ohjelmaa en kyllä poista, vaan aion jatkossakin kuunnella tcp-liikennettä windumpilla. Suosittelen ohjelman käyttöä kaikille tcp/ip -liikenteestä kiinnostuneille. Ohjelmaa tutkimalla on mahdollisuus oppia kaikkea mielenkiintoista omasta lähiverkosta.

Ohjelma näyttää IE selaimen oletusasetukset ja antaa muuttaa niitä, jos joku ohjelma on muuttanut niitä.

Työkalun nimi on Browser Hijack restore. Tätä ei välttämättä tarvita, jos käyttää vain Mozillaa tai Operaa.
