ja linkki :According to ITV-F1.com former CART title winner Juan Pablo Montoya is to drive a Champ Car around the streets of Carthegena, Colombia following the Formula One season finale at Suzuka Japan. The BMW Williams driver is said to be joined by Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello and former Champ Car driver turned IRL runner Dario Franchitti.
Montoya is hoping that his end of season homecoming will act as a celebration as he aims to clinch his first Formula One World Championship. The Colombian is just three points shy of Michael Schumacher in the championship race with two races remaining and should he win, will be the first non-Brazilian South American Formula One Champion since Juan Manuel Fangio last triumphed in 1957.
No official announcement has yet been made and it is not clear who will provide the machinery for such a demonstration run, but should CART/OWRS take an active involvement, it would be quite a scoop for the series.
