"There are some legitimate things one can change for a wet race: cooling, brake cooling, for example," explained team principal Ross Brawn. "In the past, the wing settings would have been a classic to change, in the wet the you'd drive with much more wing. This is no longer the case, because the rear wing size is limited and most go anyway with the maximum wing, regardless of the conditions."
"It is quite limited what one can do," says the master startegist and debunks the fairy tale that a wet setup might turn everything on its head. Brawn added: "The engine mapping can't be changed because of the Parc-Ferme rules so we're only talking about adjusting the front wing, brake ducts and some other small details. It's more up to the driver to adapt."
