STUTTGART, Germany (AP) - Unemployed Formula One driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen is considering a move to IndyCar racing.
The German told trade magazine Auto Bild in an interview released Monday that he has been in contact with Eddie Cheever, the team owner of the U.S. circuit's Red Bull Cheever Racing.
``I can easily imagine a switch to the United States. As a passionate race driver other kinds of driving excite me, even on an oval,'' Frentzen said.
Frentzen's contract with Swiss F1 team Sauber wasn't renewed this season. His options include a return to former team Jordan, or accepting an offer to race in the German touring car series.
