Minulta tiedustellaan tällaista:

Mikä on kautta-aikain lyhyin nhl-ura? Ja kuka pelaaja on kyseessä? Tämä on varmaan jonkin sortin kompakysymys tms. ja arvelisin, että oikea vastaus on suuruusluokkaa muutama sekunti. Eli pelaaja on loukkaantunut vakavasti heti ensimmäisessä ottelussaan. Onko näin?

Onks kellään havaintoja?

Google tiesi tällaista:

Shortest NHL career: Three minutes.
Hockey's equivalents of Field of Dreams' Moonlight Graham are both goalies. On Nov. 13, 1968, Robbie Irons replaced Glenn Hall in the St. Louis net after Hall was given a game misconduct. Blues coach Scotty Bowman ordered slightly injured regular backup Jacques Plante, who was sitting in the stands, to suit up. It took Plante three minutes of playing time to get ready, at which point Irons was yanked. That was it. Irons played in the IHL for the next 12 years, while his record remained unapproached until.... Twenty-six years later, Chicago's Christian Soucy replaced starter Jeff Hackett for the final three minutes of a game on March 31, 1994. It was his only NHL action ... so far. Soucy currently plays with the Anchorage Aces of the West Coast Hockey League. By the way, neither guy gave up a goal. At least they also share the record for lowest GAA. (If you want a list of all the guys who have played one NHL game, forget it. There are nearly 300 of them.)

Shortest career

In the 1930s the Toronto Maple Leafs, with several players sidelined by injuries, limped into the play offs one year. Desperate for help they called on a local lad, Shrimp McPherson, to don the blue and white.

Midway through the game Shrimp's big moment came> He was instructed to replace an injured Leaf who was hobbling towards the bench. In his excitement and eagerness to play he jumped onto the ice too soon. His skates no sooner hit the ice when the referee signalled a penalty, pointing at him. The call was too many men on the ice so McPherson had to return to the bench while one of his teammates was sent to the penalty box. The jump over the boards was the extent of Shrimp's NHL career, and he has the dubious distinction of being the only player in NHL history to be the cause of a penalty even though he failed to play a single second in the NHL.
