Jahas, ja sitten on taas tällaista ilmassa:
"That's what a bunch of journalists at the Nurburgring, who said the world champion had illegally switched tyre compounds, reported on Sunday race morning. Believing his qualifying-spec was only good on a single lap, the rumour went, F1's German and his engineers secretly swapped to the more consistent version."
Ja vähän pitempänä versiona "tälläistä ilmassa asiasta":
Todt criticises certain ‘journalists’
Ferrari chief Jean Todt was far from impressed on Sunday afternoon when he realized that several media outlets, including television and certain Internet sites, had insinuated that Michael Schumacher had broken the rules with a tyre infringement for Sunday’s 60 lap European Grand Prix.
“There are times when I wish I could change jobs, especially when I hear of journalists that are spreading rumours that Michael used different compounds. It is frustrating and pathetic and some journalists should be ashamed," the Ferrari man was quoted as saying.
The ludicrous and definitely unsubstantiated reports that were spread stated that the six time champion had qualified on one particular Bridgestone compound and then realized he had made a mistake and switched to another compound. This is definitely not allowed and not even contemplated by the Italian team.
Another thing that angered the Frenchman was when he heard that certain journalists in the media room let out whoops of joy when Michael’s damaged Ferrari exited the tunnel at the Monaco Grand Prix.
"I'm glad that this track has no tunnel, so none of you could cheer again at the sight of Michael coming out on three wheels,” he told journos at the Nurburgring. "Michael does some outstanding work and must be respected for what he does. He who takes joy in another's misfortunes is simply a cretin."
