Haven´t downlo.. watched the show yet but even without seeing it I can say that there is still a craving for a long(er) in-depth documentary (series) about this crazy era. Consisting not only of the usual pro material sources seen in numerous films already, but also from the footage shot by fans and so-called amateurs. And also footage of the atmosphere, stories and incidents outside the actual driving action. Combine it with some proper storyline and .. who wouldn´t want to see it?

Its good, but way too short. The perfect Group B docu would be 4 hours long ( an hour for each year) and have new footage not just the same footage we have seen. The always use the same footage from the audi films and the pegeot films. The shot at the start of Rohrl on two wheels at 1985 portugal rally was new too me, shame they could'nt show more stuff like that.

The special features on dvd are a reconstruction of the klient crash at the 1000 lakes and a visit to how toivonens crash site looks today.
Someone should ask me and Miika to make a group b documentary with all our footage we could do it justice. I'd glady travel around the world and interview the drivers and teams.

A new UK-based event, taking place on the roads of Cheshire and North Staffordshire, will see Group B legends, such as the Peugeot 205 T16, Audi S1 quattro, Metro 6R4 and Ford RS200 take part in a competitive rally - an extremely rare occurrence since the hugely expensive and powerful rally cars were banned for being 'too fast to race' in 1986.

Taking place over the weekend of 25-26 August, the rally has so far attracted over 60 entries - so expect an amazing line-up of retro-rally cars. Sponsored by Michelin, the rally is currently the UK's only multi-venue rally for Group B cars.

Watched the BBC version finally and really a minimal amount of "unseen" footage in it. Perhaps the most staggering "new" footage being the wreck of Attilio Bettega´s Lancia, with Salonen and Harjanne inspecting the details.

Seeing your late colleague´s car in million pieces like that and then go back out again to play hide and seek with death, hard to comprehend in this playstation/superrally/gymkhana/drift clown era.

That was an intresting bit of footage, considering there is'nt much footage released of bettega at the 85 tour de corse. They still failed to mention that his roll cage collapsing contributed to his death which lancia then modified on all the rest of the 037s.

I won´t translate what Surer said about the car in the beginning but I have a hunch the car was a bit of a handful and wasn´t under control all the time (?)

I speak good german, He is saying

"When four wheels are spinning (with four wheel drive) then i don't know which way the front wheels are pointing and now i have put a mark on the top of the steering wheel like a begginer so that i know when the front wheels are straight.
So now when i drive out of a harpin and apply opposite lock and the wheels are spinning and change into 2nd gear and the car breaks out. That is why i always have to make sure the steering is straight before changing gear and thats my main problem"

Is it me or is the new youtube channel layout crap?? it dos'nt seem to show any comments. Here's some news for anyone who likes my video's i'am actually working on a new video! I hav'nt made an video's since September!!! but there is a reason i moved out of my mum and dads house in October,lol. And into a flat but i only have a notebook and no dvd drive so i cant rip any footage. I make all my vids at my parents and i'am only there 1 or 2 days in the week. so i dont get time anymore.

Pitääkö tämä paikkansa, että Portugalin 1986 onnettomuudessa surmansa sai nimenomaan kolme lasta ja yksi nainen?

Motorsport Memorialin mukaan tuossa onnettomuudessa kuoli yteensä kolme ihmistä joista yksi oli nainen ja kaksi oli lapsia.
