Ja GTLM:ssä säännöt eivät edellytä yhtä herrasmiestä, kuten GTD:ssä.
Mitä tulee Ferrariin, 458:n jälkeen merkki on jäänyt vähän sinne ynnä muut -osastolle, vaikka Pirelli-sarjassa Vilanderin tiimi mestaruuteen 2018 ajoikin. Sekä Euroopassa että Amerikassa kärkisijat menevät ihan muun merkkiselle autoille.
Japanissakaan ei GT300-luokassa Ferrari tunnu kelpaavan kenellekään.
Eikä BOP ainakaan tilannetta ole helpottanut. Alla lainaus Tonin postauksesta:
"I woke up a bit angry after Daytona 24h. The whole body hurts and something is bothering me more than usually. Some thoughts about this years race.
We came to the roar with a brand new Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo and we ran good the whole 3 days. So good that we even got some power taken away before the actual race. All drivers were happy and the confidence was high.
Would be interesting to see and analyze where the race winning cars were at the roar and how much speed they found miracously during the race!? I know it is almost part of the sport (unfortunately) but seems like there are no real improvements related to the BOP. And the reason why I am more upset than normal is because this time I really thought that we had a podium car or even a winning car.
Just before the 6h mark we were leading. We closed it in P2. Lap times were good. Some power O/S but the speed was there. I thought my 1.46.0 was a fast lap. Not true. When it was go time for our competitors their average was below 1.46 and fastest lap low 1.45!!! And on the straight line we had no chance to keep them behind. How the hell we got power taken away after the roar and now we have no speed and we are 0.8s of the pace??? Why and how did this happen?? And we even couldn't match the stint lenght of the leaders?
Balance of performance work is one the most difficult tasks to work on but it still hurst when you happen to be the one suffering.
I feel Lexus and Acura were more less like us. Others different planet.

Looking forward to the Sebring race and the rest of the season. I think we can have good results during the year.
