Villeneuve suunnittelee siirtoa Nascaariin. Lähteekö Montoya mukaan?
JV interested in NASCAR switch

Jacques Villeneuve says he would consider a move to the American NASCAR series if he is unable to secure a Formula 1 drive for 2007.
The 1997 world champion’s contract with BMW Sauber runs out at the end of this year and he has yet to be offered a renewal.
Villeneuve has been driving well this season, generally matching team-mate Nick Heidfeld for pace and claiming the team’s best grid position of the season (sixth) at Indianapolis on Saturday.
But Heidfeld has one more year remaining on his contract and with BMW grooming its precociously talented test driver Robert Kubica for a full-time role, Villeneuve’s place in the team looks uncertain.
The 35-year-old has voiced his frustration at the lack of interest in his services given his record and current form, and made clear his desire to stay in F1.
But if he were forced to look elsewhere, Villeneuve says he would be more interested in a switch to the high-profile NASCAR arena rather than returning to his roots in US single-seaters.
“Going to NASCAR might not be such a bad career move, because it’s the most exciting race series in the US and it’s a very different discipline to F1,” he wrote in a column in Red Bull’s Red Bulletin newspaper.
“I would not consider it a step down.
“Would I consider a move to stock cars? I would.
“But I would have to consider my family too, as we would have to move to the US.”
Villeneuve made his break into F1 on the back of a title-winning Indycar campaign in 1995, when he also won the blue-riband Indianapolis 500.
