Tuohon Tifosi-Clubin juttuun oli vielä jatkoakin, josta ilmenee Jean Todt:in pitävät Räikköstä todella korkeassa arvossa (jos tämä koko juttu todella oikeasti perustuu Nicolas Todt:in sanomisiin, mitä kyllä melkoisesti epäilen).
According to Todt's son, the pressure that Ron Dennis is putting on the contract with raikonnen has made it difficult but not impossible for Ferrari to sign him as Todt wanted.
Todt postponed the real "move" that Ferrari intend to do on Raikonnen to a later date, because of several reasons:
1- Dennis WOULD accept to let Raikonnen leave, (for me learning this was a big surprise - after all it seems no contract is unbreakable) but he asks way too much money for that - Todt is prepared to pay for this money, but simply not now, because of reason 2:
2- Schumacher is still here, and Todt does not want 2 real champions ripping points away from each other, specially when the car is not that invincible anymore.
3 - Raikonnen is considered as Tod as one of those unique and very specific championship material - These kind of drivers have the specificity to built their style and their driving skills on their own, as each of them is a unique phenomenon. They build themselves on their own.
They are "autonomous creatures". Prost learnt of no one, Schumacher the same, Senna the same, and many other champions as well.
Therefore there is no use to hire Raikonnen to "learn from MS"
first it is too late and Raikonnen is already on his own learning curve, and secondly it simply cannot be done - they are two different styles, champions, and two unique champions don't learn from anyone- they only try to achieve their own peak - sometimes they do and they continue to go beyond (as MS since long years), sometimes they try and are not far of it (like Raikonnen now).
In these cases, according to Todt, coupling two champions may be harmful for the one that is yet "under development" like Raikonnen in this case.
So todt prepares to wait until MS leaves to get Raikonnen. as if he does this now, he won't have a Raikonnen able to ammass all the Ferrari point, thus hewill only have a half-Raikonnen, as the other half will be inhibited by another present champion.
But most important thing: both Raikonnen himself, and his management are interested in a ferrari move. Even RON DENNIS is not totally against. But you can count on him to get big time $$$ to let his favorite protégé of the paddock to go.
But this shows that RD can be very pragmatic as a man ....
